Production Stills.

A production still is a photograph taken on or off the set of a film shoot during production. Those photos are used in promotions, campaigns, and on social media for that production. The still photographer will be asked to take posed or candid photos of the talent during filming, or at specified breaks in filming, as well as behind-the-scenes (BTS) images of the production crew in action.

I had the pleasure of working with the crew at Image Brew last summer (2020) on their production of a series of PSAs for the US Center for Safesport. This was one of my first jobs, and by far the largest production, since the coronavirus pandemic restrictions cancelled all of my previously-scheduled work back in March. They had a specified COVID-19 Protocol rep on set and everyone from crew to talent respected all guidelines. It was a safe, professional and even emotional set, I have to say. Everyone was so happy to be back at work!
